What is Spinning®?
Spinning® itself was
created by Johnny G, who opened the first studio in Santa Monica,
California in 1989. There are now more than 4,000 spinning clubs
operating in over 100 countries. Special spinning bikes with
38-pound weighted front wheels and adjustable seats and handlebars
are used for the RPM classes. Part yoga, part Tour de France,
people burn an average of 500 calories and up to 900 calories
per class with the unique spinning combination of low-impact
upper and lower body movements and because of its low impact
on the joints, it’s the best choice for the injured. The
program has swept the nation because it is easily adaptable
for everyone's fitness needs.
Since the opening of RPM
Fitness Studio, Karyn and Cynthia Graham have mastered new Spinning®
techniques unlike any other class!
Spirit in Movement: With
a strong spirit, determination and support, our clients have
achieved what many believe is out of reach—they found
the correct balance.
The Graham sisters have shared
their personal struggles and lessons with students at RPM who
aspire to do the same. Known for its family type atmosphere,
students have created new opportunities, a supportive community
with lasting friendships, which encourages their program to
be more than they ever imagined!
